vitamin C therapy

The World Health Organization announced this week that the viral outbreak of Coronavirus is now classified as a pandemic. One day later, President Trump announced that he is suspending inbound travel from Europe to the US for 30 days.

This new and highly contagious virus continues to wreak havoc as it spreads across the world, causing Americans to scramble for effective treatment protocols. The medical community is in a state of shock.

The benefits and clinical efficacy of high-dose vitamin C therapy for a plethora of ailments, including acute viral and bacterial infections and even cancer, is now coming to light. The Coronavirus pandemic has allowed for the breakthrough of this not-so-new type of therapy across the globe, as the government of Shanghai, China has announced its official recommendation stating COVID-19 should be treated with high amounts of vitamin C intravenously.

A medical team from the Second Affiliated Hospital of Xi’an Jiaotong University in China has reported the successful treatment of coronavirus patients with vitamin C. In a press release posted on the hospital website, the team describes how patients suffering from severe coronary pneumonia, a potentially fatal complication of the new coronavirus COVID-19, have recovered after being treated with high doses of the vitamin. The medical team recommend that for critically ill patients and those with severe neonatal pneumonia, vitamin C treatment should be initiated as soon as possible after admission to hospital.

Since the 1940’s, tens of thousands of patients have been successfully treated and cured of as many as fifty different chronic, bacterial and viral conditions with high-dose sodium ascorbate vitamin C. These conditions ranged from the common flu, swine-flu, to sepsis and polio, beginning with the works of Dr. Klenner and Dr. Cathcart.

Vitamin C has been recognized for a long time as an antioxidant, with the ability to improve immunity. More recent understanding demonstrated how vitamin C protects against attacks by pathogens by strengthening epithelial defenses, while supporting both innate and adaptive immune systems, defending the body against invading microbes.

There are many reasons why conventional medicine has been slow to embrace the importance of vitamin C to the human immune system. This issue has been well covered in various publications, such as “Monumental Cures” a book written by Marc S. Micozzi, M.D, Ph.D. One of these reasons is that vitamin C has been perceived to be a “mere vitamin”, when in fact it’s the most potent oxidizing agent which can help eliminate pathogens when given in high-therapeutic-doses.

Allopathic and alternative physicians have both been misguided on the fundamentals of high-dose vitamin C treatment protocols – optimal therapeutic doses, frequency, and rate of administration, all which determine its clinical efficacy. When applied correctly, intravenous vitamin C therapy can significantly improve and some of the most acute conditions in a matter of hours. In addition, because many providers do not completely understand the difference between the characteristics of ascorbic acid and sodium ascorbate vitamin C, not to mention what constitutes therapeutic dosages, they often underdose and underdeliver, which leads to a less-than-optimal therapeutic outcome.

At this unprecedented critical time, when the world is facing one of the worst health and financial crises in modern history, there is an immediate necessity for medical practitioners to obtain comprehensive training on the vitamin C therapy.
